CtK’s Annual Live Nativity in video and pictures!
Join us on December 18th for our annual Live Nativity!
Bring your dogs and yourselves (let Deacon Mandy know) and play a part in the telling of the Nativity Story.
Service will be outside on the front lawn. You can come at the regular 9:30am worship time to watch, or arrive no later than 9am to get into costume. There’s nothing to memorize, just fun to be had and the greatest story to be told.
Then stick around for Holiday Hoopla, our annual “gingerbread” “house” making “contest”. You don’t use gingerbread, you don’t have to make a house, and you only have an hour to put something together. It is wild fun for all! It’ll start at about 10:45 or so on the 18th.
See you there!
As we continue to delve into the practices that make a life deeply formed in Christ, CtK welcomes guest speaker Rhonda Muckerman on November 6th. Rhonda will give us a lesson on Jin Shin Jyutsu after worship (from about 10:45 – 11:45 am) in the Community Hall.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient form of healing from Japan. It translates as “The Art of the Creator through the Man of Compassion” or simply put, the “Art of Happiness.”
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) works on all levels—physical, mental, emotional and spiritual—to restore us to our optimal state of health. It is a gentle, yet powerful form of healing that opens up and fortifies the energetic meridians in our body which have shut down due to stress or the effects of an unhealthy lifestyle, etc.
A remarkable aspect of JSJ is that we can apply it to ourselves in many simple ways. Rhonda L Muckerman is a registered practitioner of JSJ since 2005. She enjoys teaching people how to utilize this ancient healing art to relieve stress, balance emotions, and improve all aspects of our health.

At the risk of scaring everyone off, I’d like each person here today to think about their gifts and how they can share them
with our church family. The past 6 weeks, you have learned about the 6 “teams” that divide up the needs of the church into
smaller pieces:
Our church functions in similar ways to any household. Someone needs to clean the kitchen, mow the grass, paint the walls, take out the trash, bring cookies to a sad neighbor, make
snacks, pay the bills, go to the bank, plan a budget, etc. We have once a year jobs, once a month jobs, once a week jobs. We have behind the scenes jobs, out in front of everybody jobs.
We want your ideas, your energy, your fellowship. Please prayerfully consider how you can be involved. We need you all!

It was a beautiful week of faith and fun!
Thank you to everyone who fed the counselors (Dian May, Carol Orlowski & Bev Dittmer) and the myraid of secret squirrels who ordered snacks and supplies from the WalMart Day Camp Registry. A special thanks to those who contributed money to pay for the Scholarshipped campers: there were 6 this year!
