Circle of Contemplative Prayer

The Circle of Contemplative Prayer meets each Monday from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Silent meditation and prayer sessions are followed by a book discussion. Habitat for Humanity Update

There is lots going on at Habitat right now, notably getting ready for the 2021 build.  That build will be another duplex, 2 stories with 3…possibly 4…bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.  The site is back at Fox Farms in Bayfield, and the Save the Date for CtK’s build is Saturday, June 5.  (Please NOTE: we are back to SATURDAYS.)  Habitat will break ground after they receive the bids for the infrastructure and have chosen a contractor.  It should be sometime soon.

Usually, Americore comes at the beginning of a build to do the framing.  That is not happening this year; so, Habitat really needs volunteers to help with that aspect of the project.  In addition to the new build, Habitat has bought back some of their earlier homes.  (Their owners have prospered and moved on to bigger homes elsewhere – success stories!)  In the meantime, Habitat is renovating these homes and will resell them to new partners.  Volunteers from The Hammers Club, many of whom are retirees, help with the renovations as well as the new build.  If you would like to join them, please call Tami Joslin at 970-382-2215.

Additional details for CtK’s Habitat Build, signup, and restrictions will be announced as they become available as well as being published in the next Scribe.  If you have questions, please call Rap Fairley at 410-474-3571.
