CtK’s Annual Art Gala
Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s 4th Annual Art Gala a wonderful success. There was a wide variety of magnificent artwork and talent on display to wow the attendees. So now, before your sparks of creativity fade away, start planning for next year! The theme will be Daniel, and the Gala will be on Saturday, November 7th, 2020.
And a very special shout out to Manna Soup Kitchen Culinary Arts Program for their delicious and thoughtful contributions to the Art Gala. In case you missed it, here is their Psalm-themed menu:
Taydn Muniz
Blue corn cakes, juniper ash, custard, candy cap mushroom dust, paired with Grapefruit sage salted sparkler
Psalm 102:9
For I eat ashes like bread, and mingle tears with my drink
McKenzie Sparby
Psalm 104: 14-15
You cause the grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for people to use, to bring forth food from the earth, and wine to gladden the human heart, oil to make the face shine, and bread to strengthen the human heart.
Desiree Champlin
Cocoa dusted monkey bread with berry coulis dipping sauce
Psalm 78:25-29
Mortals ate of the bread of angels; he sent them food in abundance. He caused the east wind to blow in the heavens, and by his power he led out the south wind; he rained flesh upon them like dust, winged birds like the sand of the seas; he let them fall within their camp, all around their dwellings. And they ate and were well filled, for he gave them what they craved.
Shanise Graves
Honeycomb, blue cheese, and apple on winter squash sesame cracker with honey peanut brittle crumble
Psalm 19:9-10
The ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey, and drippings of the honeycomb.
