CtK’s Lenten Photo Challenge 2020
The year 2020 connotes vision – at least to me – so for the 2020 season of Lent CtK once again issues a Lenten Photo Challenge. There is a word for each day that is inspired by the lectionary readings – let this word inspire you to pause, reflect, and get creative. Each day, take a picture of how you perceive the day’s word – no explanation needed. Challenge yourself to take a picture every day, but you can participate as much or as little as you like. Share your pictures in any of the following ways:
- Send daily pictures to Mandy with the day’s word in the subject line
- Post daily pictures to Instagram, #ctkdurango, #[wordoftheday] (for example, #dust)
- Post daily pictures and word to your Facebook page and tag Christ the King Lutheran Church – Durango
- Post daily pictures and word to CtK’s Facebook wall (Christ the King Lutheran Church – Durango)
Invite your friends and family, those near and far, to participate in this challenge as well. Each Sunday there will be a slideshow of all the week’s photos (those sent to Mandy) in the Sanctuary and on our website.

You don’t have to be a great photographer. This challenge is about paying attention and being intentional. It’s not about getting the perfect shot with the perfect light and the perfect filter (but if that’s your jam, go for it!).
Take the time each day to live into Lent, and share with our community a glimpse into your Lenten life.
