Day Camp was amazing!

We had 38 campers and 9 Jr Counselors, along with 4 Rainbow Trail Counselors, “Takin’ it Down the Mountain” this year. We had the best time, even though we could only have our campers with us for half days this year. In addition to a beading project led by Mariel from the Family Center, our big project was getting ready for Christmas in July, which was held the Sunday after Day Camp ended. The campers decorated the sanctuary with Christmas pictures and paper snowflakes. They decorated a Christmas tree and hid a Santa hat-clad Martin Luther in a snowy tableau. They presented skits to each other to exhibit what they learned in Bible Study that week, and the Jr Counselors and RTLC Counselors has a Christmas Cookie decorating contest, and the cookies were served during fellowship on Christmas in July Sunday.

Many thanks to the entire congregation of CtK for your support of Day Camp. We could NOT do this without you.

Thanks especially to those who directly donated time, talents, and treasure:

Dan & Angelia Graves, Jigger Staby, Beth Stelz, Gary Orlowski, Louise Clark, Sue Johnson, Catherine Hawk, John Condie & Wanda Ellingson, Mariel Balbuena, Eryn Orlowski, Pastor Tim (see his video below), and Kim Hobby.

Sincere apologies if I have left you off this list. My brain has holes in it. And WalMart doesn’t tell me who bought what. Let me know and I will amend this list.

Thank again, CtK! Let’s do it again next year!
