Day Camp

Monday July 11 – Thursday, July 14, 2022
9am – 3:00pm
For kids entering K – 6th grade in the fall of 2022

(Campers stay later on Thursday; grown-ups join us for a special program at 4:30pm)

Monday, July 11

What we learned: God shows love through creation (Psalm 19:1)

We were co-creators and painted rocks. We also went on a scavenger hunt!

TOMORROW, Tuesday, July 12

K-1 Graders: walking field trip to the Powerhouse (we have wagons for littlest legs). Please wear sturdy shoes & sunscreen. Bring a lunch as always. We will walk to Rotary, have lunch, go to the Powerhouse and walk back. Pickup is still 3pm at CtK. (Bonus Water Day on Wednesday.)

2-6 graders: Bonus Water Day! Bring a swimsuit and/or clothes you don’t mind getting wet. Bring a towel. Bring a lunch as always. We will play water games – we’re saving the slip n slide for Thursday, so we shouldn’t get completely soaked. (Field Trip to the Powerhouse on Wednesday.)

Tuesday, July 12

What we learned: God shows love by becoming one of us (John 3:16)

We made “Jesus Was Just Like Me” mirrors. Littles took a field trip to the Powerhouse and Bigs had a bonus water day.

TOMORROW, Wednesday, July 13

Wednesday, July 12

What we learned: God shows love in happy and hard times (Philippians 4:4)

We struggled and rejoiced with a beading project. Bigs took a field trip to the powerhouse and littles had a bonus water day.

TOMORROW, Thursday, July 14

It’s the last day of Day Camp! And it’s BIG WATER DAY! Everyone needs a swinsuit and towel.

Do NOT pick up at 3pm. Campers stay at CtK until 4:30pm to practice for the closing program. Grownups arrive at 4:30pm to see what the campers have accomplished this week. Please come into the Sanctuary for the program. After the program we’ll go to the front yard and have ice cream and cookies! We’ll say goodbye at 6pm.

Monday – Wednesday, July 11 – 13, 8:30am – 3:30pm and Thursday, July 14, 8:30 – 7pm. Day Camp! It’s hard work sometimes, but oh-so-fun.

Bring your lunch and join us for hilarity.

Help Support Day Camp

We rely on the generosity of our CtK family to make Day Camp a safe, fun, and faith-filled experience for our Campers and Counselors.

CtK will provide RTLC Counselors with sack lunches and dinners Monday-Thursday, July 11-14. This is for 4 college-aged counselors. They can eat. A lot. Sack lunches should be dropped off at CtK the morning for which you have signed up. Dinners can be at your house or you can buy a gift certificate for a local restaurant. Click on the FEED ME button below to sign up.

We are, as always, also in need of donations of Snacks for the Campers and Arts & Crafts Supplies. Click on the “Snacks N Supplies” button below to see what’s on our Wal-Mart Registry. Items can be shipped to CtK or you can bring them to the church; either way we need them no later than Sunday, July 10.

If you are a Thrivent Member, you can donate one or both of your free-to-you Action Team cards to Day Camp! Click the link below and fill out the form with the info on this page. Email Deacon Mandy if you need assistance.
