CtK Youth Fundraising

CtK’s Youth are fundraising to go to the ELCA Youth Gathering in Minnesota in 2022!
Each Youth has their own fundraising account. You can donate directly to a specific Youth (funds are held by CtK) or you can donate to the CtK Youth Gathering Fund in general.
There are many ways you can help get them there; scroll down to see!

Giving Options

Choose a Specific Youth's Fundraiser

Due to Covid-19 precautions, we are limited in the types of service projects we can do together. So our intrepid Youth are doing their own service projects, and you can pledge your support based on the number of hours they work.

Give a One-Time or Recurring Gift

You can donate any dollar amount you choose to a specific Youth or to the Youth Gathering Fund in general. No matter which you choose, all donations will be held by CtK and used for the Gathering trip in 2022.

Service Projects

Need a Job Done?

The CtK Youth can do it – for free! Fill out a quick form and a Youth will contact you. You do not need to pay them; they receive donations through their Service Project Pledge sheets. If you do want to pay as well, please use the Youth’s tithe.ly account or write a check (payable to CtK with the Youth’s name in the memo line).

Sales & Fun

The Youth will be scheduling events such Quiche and Yard Sales, Trivia Nights, and other fun opportunities.

About Your Donations,

Where & How They’re Used

Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.
Due to Covid-19, the Gathering originally scheduled for 2021 has been moved to 2022.
This is good news for CtK’s Youth, as we now have more time to raise the funds to get us there!

Transportation Costs

As of Fall 2020, flights from Durango to Minneapolis are approximately $500/person.

If a Rental Van is needed, the cost is approximately $150/day or $750/week (this would be a shared cost).

Each congregation is responsible for providing its own meals, with the exception of lunch on Synod Day and Service Learning day.
Daily meals can range from $20 – $50 per day, depending on what the Youth chooses to eat.
