How May I Contribute to Christ the King Lutheran Church?

Financial Contributions:

  • Cash and Checks – place in the offering plate during Pub Chat or a worship service. If possible, please use your church envelope, so your offering can be credited to you.

  • Electronic Transfers- To arrange for transfers to CtK from your bank, complete an authorization form and return it to Pete Olson, church administrator.

(CtK utilizes Vanco Services, LLC, endorsed by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, to process transfers. Pick up an authorization form from the church office or download one here.)

Questions? Call or email Pete churchadmin@ctkdurango.org at the CtK office, 970-247-5310.

  • Paypal – click the gold “Donate” button. (Consider adding an extra 2-3% to cover the PayPal fee.)

  • Download CtK’s 2013 Pledge Form

On-Line Shopping:

  • For most on-line stores, ordering through iGive is a way to donate part of the commission to the cause of your choice, including CtK (listed as Christ the King Lutheran Church – Durango) and the ELCA World Hunger Appeal.

Contributions of Time:

  • Volunteer – We have all kinds of volunteer opportunities, ranging from one-time tasks, like grilling at a cook-out, to serving on the CtK council, which requires a two year commitment. There are usually sign-up sheets at church for special events like pot-lucks, and for weekly events like providing flowers for worship services, bringing snacks for fellowship time, etc. Call the church office (247-5310) or go to the Get Involved page for details.

  • Pray – You will find a prayer list in each BLAST and Scribe, Pastor Rich’s announcements at the beginning of worship services, and on our Announcements web page. We pray for CtK members and friends who are ill and injured, military service members and their families, people who live in disaster areas, and resolution of ongoing global issues such as hunger and genocide. We also have prayer vigils at special times like Easter week and in times of conflict and disaster. If you would like to be part of the Prayer Team or to participate in a prayer vigil, contact Wanda Ellingson.

Wills and Bequests:

The Christ the King Mission Endowment Fund is designed to support the work of Christ the King Lutheran Church both in and beyond our community. Although it is intended primarily as a recipient for end-of-life gifts, the fund also receives gifts of thanksgiving and celebration from members, families and friends of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

This is a permanent endowment fund that is separate from day-to-day operating funds of the church. It is designed to provide long-term growth of assets, so the fund can endure to continue God’s work within our church, the community and the world.

The fund can accept cash, checks, and electronic transfers, as well as gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, real estate, etc. It is possible to make the endowment fund a beneficiary of life insurance policies, retirement accounts, and trusts. We can even set up charitable gift annuities.

Questions? Contact church administrator, Pete Olson, or a Christ the King Mission Endowment Fund Board Member.
